FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Is your meat government inspected?

Yes, all of our meat is inspected at the butcher by an inspector from the Meat Inspections Branch of the Regulatory Services Division of Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development.

  • Do we use antibiotics or hormones?

We do not use any antibiotics or hormones for growth.

We do however take measures to ensure our herd is healthy and this sometimes means a veterinarian prescribes antibiotics. If and when this happens directions are adhered to regarding the withdrawal period.

  • Will my beef be raw or frozen?

Your beef is frozen. We receive the beef cut, wrapped and frozen from the butcher. They are then stored in our freezers until pickup.
